notes from summer

notes from summer

feasting on mangoes, jamuns, lemons, melons and lychees; dying our fingers and spirits
in the glorious palette of summer
celebrating six years of our sacred wedding, on this earth

making our everyday fragrant with mogras and champas, and sweeter with aamras and shrikhand
taking afternoon siestas shaded by layered curtains
initiating the ritual of ekadashi; aligning myself to the elusive sway of luna
reading the ephemeral clouds and hour of the goddess

awaiting monsoon

  1. such gentle beauty. happy anniversary.

    1. thank you for the wishes, sarah.
your gentleness smiles in my heart too.

let my thoughts come to you
when I am gone
like the afterglow of sunset
at the margin of starry silence
